Final Round Australian Master of the Amateurs

Posted on: 15 January

The Final Round did not disappoint with the men’s and women’s championships coming down to the wire.

The Women’s Championship leaderboard was getting close at the 9 hole turn, with Belinda Ji having 3 birdies in the front nine to get only three shots behind Jeneath Wong. Despite this last-minute charge, Jeneath was able to have 3 birdies in the back nine, to finish at 4 under par.

The Men’s Championship came down to the last few holes. Despite the last-minute charge from Konrad Cuipek and Andre Lautee, Harrison Crowe was still able to handle the pressure and claim the 2022 Men’s Championship at 6 under. Including 4 birdies in the last round, to ensure he would wear the coveted green jacket at the end of the day.

Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the Australian Master of the Amateurs was still able to display elite amateur talent from 7 countries at the world-class Victoria Golf Club. Next year we look forward to welcoming back our international players to compete in the 2023 tournament.
