2026 Men’s & Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships
The 2026 Men’s and Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships will be played at Southern Golf Club, Monday 5th – Friday 9th January 2026. There will be a practice round the morning of Monday 5th January, and the AM-AM Teams Challenge the afternoon of Monday 5th January 2026.
2026 will be the 29th Anniversary of the Men’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship and the 9th Anniversary of the Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship.
The 2026 Men’s and Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships are 72-hole stroke championships with a cut after 36-holes.
The top 36 male championship players plus ties and the top 36 female championship players plus ties, after 36-holes of the championship, shall compete in the final 2 rounds (rounds 3 & 4) of the Men’s & Women’s Championships. The field is capped at 168 players, 84 top male elite amateur golfers and 84 top female elite amateur golfers. The number of female and male players may be adjusted closer to the championships, depending on player entries, at the discretion of the Australian Master of the Amateurs International Selection Committee and Chairman of Selectors. Male and female elite amateur golfers shall compete in separate Championships, under the title of the Men’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship & the Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship.

2026 Men’s & Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships – QUALIFYING ROUND
Qualifying for the 2026 Men’s & Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs will be played at Southern Golf Club, on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. This will be an afternoon field, 18-holes Stroke Play, with at 12:45pm shot gun start. The field size will be limited to 72 elite amateur golfers, this being 48 male amateur golfers and 24 female amateur golfers. The 4 best Gross Scores (no ties) for the men (Total of 4 Exemptions) and the 2 best Gross Scores (no ties) for the women (Total of 2 Exemptions) will be awarded on the day.
Entry will be via a link provided by Golf Genius on this website. Entries will open 9am Monday 29th September 2025. Entries will close 12pm Friday 28th November 2025.

The 2025 Men’s and Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships were played at Southern Golf Club, Friday 3rd – Monday 6th January 2025.

Congratulations to Hyojin Yang (KOR) in winning the 2025 Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship and the coveted “Green Jacket”, with a total score of -6 to Par, 286.
Congratulations to Ian Gilligan (USA) in winning the 2025 Men’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship and the coveted “Green Jacket”, with a total score of -14 to Par, 274.
